This is not a laughing matter: A light-hearted Regency Romance inspired by P&P

Mrs Bennet claims a compromise between Elizabeth and Mr Darcy. /br Darcy does the honourable thing, and angrily offers to marry Elizabeth, assuming she was a willing participant in the compromise, BUT without consulting the lady. /br Elizabeth is not interested in marriage to a man she despises, BUT she is told by her family, she must marry Mr Darcy or leave Longbourn. /br Which will Elizabeth choose? /br The answer is obvious. /br She decides to leave Longbourn, after saying NO to Mr Darcy during the wedding ceremony. /br Will Darcy thank his lucky stars that he narrowly escaped the connection to the crass Bennet family, or will Elizabeth's refusal open his eyes to Elizabeth's innocence in the scheme, and make him realise that he is in love with a very special lady? /br Both of them need time to mature and find out what they truly want. /br After such a rocky beginning, will they be able to find a way to a happily ever after?
